Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or date of birth entered in a search widget is sent to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its own results. Tennessee Warrant Records does not store or log the search terms on its own servers.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a visitor emails the contact address, the message may be retained so a reply can be sent. It is kept within the team and is not shared outside the organization unless law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the server and analytics tools may record technical details related to that visit:
- The time associated with each page request
- Your device type and operating system
- The referring website, when one is provided
- The IP address used by your device
- Browser type and version
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent on them
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files that may be placed on a device so analytics can measure broad site use, such as frequently viewed pages. Browser controls can block or remove cookies. If a visitor disables them, some functions may respond differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Improving page speed and keeping the site available
- Sending search-widget entries to the company that runs the tool
- Measuring which topics visitors use most
- Diagnosing errors or other technical problems
- Displaying advertising, which may be interest-based
No Warrant Data on File
Tennessee Warrant Records does not host, build, or sell a collection of warrant files or personal warrant entries. The reference describes where Tennessee records are held, including the issuing court, county sheriff, city agency, and restricted state or federal justice systems. TNCRIM is not a public name search. Visitor information is not compiled into consumer reports or files about other people, and this operation is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
External companies operate the search boxes. Entries made there are governed by the provider's privacy notice and retention choices, which Tennessee Warrant Records does not control. Review that provider's policy before submitting information.
Links to Other Websites
Links lead to Tennessee agency and court pages, county sheriff resources, legal help, and outside search services. Once a visitor opens another domain, that provider's privacy terms apply. Check them before sending personal details.
Some ad partners may use their own tools to recognize activity across sites and select advertising. Those systems are run by the partners, not by this reference.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Information may be handled by these service groups:
- Advertising networks that place notices on the pages
- Analytics providers measuring site traffic and performance
- Search partners receiving entries submitted to their tools
- A government authority when a valid legal demand requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security measures are used to protect information handled by the service. No internet-connected system can be guaranteed free of risk, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access or a data incident will never occur.
Users Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not designed to collect information from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if a minor appears to have submitted personal details so the information can be reviewed and removed.
Your Data Rights
The Tennessee Public Records Act, Tenn. Code Ann. ยงยง 10-7-501 et seq., covers public records held by Tennessee government entities. It does not make this private reference a public agency or create access to visitor data held here. Visitors may contact us to:
- Ask whether information about them is held here and request a copy
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Ask that personal information be deleted where it can lawfully be removed
- Ask about opting out of certain processing where applicable
Updates to This Policy
Privacy practices may be revised. A new version takes effect when posted here with its effective date; review this notice from time to time if the details matter to you.
